Introducing…CHARITY BIBS!

Make every mile count! Running and walking weather is right around the corner. This year, all those spring/summer miles can impact more than just your fitness – they can provide free mental health therapy for struggling local students in need of support.

REAL NEEDS, RELEVANT SOLUTIONS

REAL NEEDS - Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation Dev Site

Together, we’ve been serving our community for over 40 years. Some of our current programs have been operating for decades.

Don’t fix what’s not broken, right? Well, that can be true but, here at RFWF, we value flexibility, creativity and relevance in our programming. Our team constantly keeps a pulse on what gaps remain in our community and searches for opportunities to stay relevant.

As our community continues to age, the demand for Senior Hot Meals service continues to grow. Due to current kitchen limitations, the program is at max capacity at 48 seniors. This leaves us with a current waitlist of 14 homebound seniors. With a little creativity and support from willing volunteers, we are now able to serve these waitlisted seniors with weekly delivered dinners each Thursday. We will utilize 14 servings of the Full Bellies dinner to offer some support as these seniors await an opening in the Senior Hot Meal program.

This is a tremendous relief to the families of these seniors awaiting support. In fact, we had one Bonney Lake woman stop by our office recently who is cooking for her dad daily and delivering his meals to Enumclaw each evening, all while also juggling burdens in her own home. When we called her today to let her know we would take care of his dinner each Thursday, she was absolutely elated.

This type of teamwork and partnership makes my heart fill with pride and gratitude for this team and entire community of helpers. I am so proud of our team of staff and volunteers and extremely grateful for our donors who make it all possible.
